It should be noted here that eight United States Air Force officers also received the British Distinguished Flying Cross for services during the Korean War: Col. Robert R. Baldwin, Col. Richard H. Carmichael, Col. Maurice F. Casey, Jr., Col. Harvey C. Dorney, Maj. James J. Jabara, Col. Charles E. Jordan, Col. William R. McBride and Capt. Lynden E. Thomason. In addition, two United States Air Force officers received a first bar to the British DFC for services in Korea, having received the decoration previously for services during World War II. They were Col Russell A. Berg and Col. Levi R. Chase, Jr.
